The Great Opportunities in Technology and Engineering Careers (GO TEC) program, led by Program Manager Dr. Tammy Hurt, has added two new staff members.
Sherri Dickens serves as the GO TEC Multimedia Technician. She was previously an AmeriCorps ServeIT member who served at the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research; she was also the owner of Infinity Eyecare of Danville. Sherri will work alongside GO TEC Training Coordinator Jacob Taylor to produce multimedia projects and help train instructors. She received her IT Systems Management and Project Management certifications from Danville Community College and CompTIA A+ from the Southern Virginia Higher Education Center/IT Academy. Rhonda Reavis joins the team as the GO TEC Program Assistant. She previously served as Assistant Director of Student Accounts at Averett University. Rhonda will work with the GO TEC team and partners to help evaluate and implement this GO Virginia-funded talent development model for strategic career sectors.
